Frequently asked questions.

The price of a telematics solution can vary depending on the features and functionality of the system. Konexial offers a wide range of pricing and licensing bundles. For reference, a 1 truck fleet can implement a basic telemetry system for approximately $450 annually. For more information on pricing and bundles visit: https://konexial.com/shop/subscriptions/

Most fleets see a return on investment through reduced HOS violations, improved fuel efficiency, and less time spent managing paper logs. Many customers offset the cost of the system within the first 3–6 months through operational savings alone.

Any vehicle with an engine control module (ECM) port. This includes everything from light-duty trucks (Class 1–3) to heavy-duty Class 8 vehicles. For older vehicles or light-duty trucks without a standard 9-pin port, adapters are available.

The My20 ELD supports 6-pin, 9-pin, OBDII, and RP1226 connections using the appropriate adapter.

The Standard ELD uses your phone’s cellular data via Bluetooth to transmit logs. The Cellular ELD has its own built-in SIM card and data plan, meaning it can transmit data independently of the driver’s phone, providing a more “always-on” connection for fleet managers.

This eliminates reliance on driver phones, Bluetooth connectivity, or app usage, making it ideal for fleets with multiple drivers per vehicle or operations where consistent data flow is critical.

The My20 ELD is simple to install in any vehicle. Locate the vehicle’s ECM port, plug the device into the port, wait for a blue light to display on the device to confirm power. Once the device has power, use a phone or tablet to connect via bluetooth to the device.

Installation typically takes less than 5 minutes and does not require professional installation.

To use My20 ELD, purchase the hardware and a license. Then, create administrator, driver, and vehicle profiles. Plug the ELD into the vehicle’s ECM port, download the My20 ELD app, log in, and the app will connect via Bluetooth to begin your workday.

On the top right of the home screen, My20 will show your ELD Status. “ELD connected” or “No ELD Connected.”

NOTE: If “No ELD connected”, make sure power is on to My20 ELD box (green light on) and tap to scan for your ELD hardware. If the problem persists, check to see if Bluetooth AND Location services on your mobile device are turned on, both are required to connect to the My20 ELD.

Drivers can manage duty status, DVIRs, and logs directly in the app, while administrators can monitor activity in real time through the Konexial platform. The system is FMCSA compliant out of the box and includes prompts to help prevent common violations.

ELD systems provide instant access to driver logs, automate HOS tracking, and enable electronic transfer of records to enforcement officers, reducing inspection time and errors.

ELD systems display driving time, duty status, location history, engine hours, and compliance-related supporting documentation.

Yes. A la carte services allow you to subscribe to ELD-only, AI Cameras-only, or tracking without a full bundled plan.

Konexial offers the only platform built for real-time execution across freight, assets, and drivers. Our 99.9% system uptime ensures you are never out of compliance, and our US-based support team resolves 95% of issues on the first call.

Konexial provides a single platform for ELD, cameras, and asset tracking, eliminating the need for multiple systems. This gives fleets real-time visibility across operations and simplifies onboarding and ongoing management.

Drivers are more likely to adopt ELDs when they understand how it protects them. The ELDs will ensure accurate logs, reduce paperwork errors, and reduce the risk of violations. A good solution has clear training and easy to access support. Providing drivers with that clear line of communication will assist with adoption and minimize disruption to the driver’s day-to-day life.

Driver scorecards and coaching tools can reinforce safe driving habits, while a simple and intuitive app reduces training time and improves adoption.
